Cancellation policy

NOTICE ON THE ASSOCIATION MEMBERSHIP FEE, PURPOSE-BOUND DONATIONS AND CANCELLATION POLICY

1. Nature of the organisation

Fondazione European People ETS is a Third Sector Entity registered in the RUNTS (Italian Third Sector Register), operating under Legislative Decree 117/2017 (Third Sector Code), with civic, solidarity and social-benefit purposes.

The activities it promotes are activities of general interest under Article 5 of the Third Sector Code.

2. Association membership fee

The annual association membership fee:

is intended to support the organisation’s institutional activities;
allows the member to take part in the projects, educational programmes and events promoted by the Foundation in the relevant year;
is not consideration for a commercial service.

The association membership fee is non-refundable, except where required by mandatory law.

3. Purpose-bound donation for project participation

Participation in individual projects takes place through payment of a purpose-bound donation (donazione modale) under Article 793 of the Italian Civil Code, tied to the delivery of the specific project chosen.

The purpose-bound donation covers:

organisational costs
logistics expenses (flights, accommodation, bookings)
basic insurance
tutoring and training services
administrative and management costs

Most of these amounts are committed in advance to third-party suppliers.

4. Cancellation policy

If a participant withdraws:

amounts paid as a purpose-bound donation are non-refundable;
they cannot be transferred to other participants;
they cannot be converted to other projects, unless the Board of Directors decides otherwise, at its discretion, in exceptional cases.

The nature of the purpose-bound donation and the advance commitment of the amounts to third parties exclude the right of withdrawal provided for online sales contracts.

5. Trip cancellation insurance

Participants can protect themselves by taking out a trip cancellation insurance policy.

Any refunds will be granted exclusively in the cases covered by the policy and handled directly by the insurance company under its contractual terms.

Without insurance cover, no refund may be claimed from the Foundation.

6. Acceptance of the terms

By completing the payment on the website, the participant declares that they:

understand the nature of the association membership fee and/or purpose-bound donation;
expressly accept that the amounts paid are non-refundable;
waive any claim for repayment outside the cases provided for by law or by insurance cover.
